Take a coffee tour and experience the daily life of a coffee producer; Getting in touch with nature.

We started with meeting our friends at Tanque de la Union, on the side of the piles, in Antigua Guatemala at 8:45 am or 12:45 pm (previous reservation) where they will board the transport that will take them to the coffee grower's house in San Miguel Escobar, 10 minutes from downtown Antigua. After a warm welcome and brief explanation of the tour we will walk towards an adventure on the slopes of the Agua volcano, where you will know the coffee plantations of the coffee grower and you will learn the process and care of the coffee from how to plant a new plant until obtaining a cup of the best coffee. Then the coffee grower will invite you to his home where you will learn how to handle a bike-pulper and learn how to make an artisanal coffee by roasting it directly with wood, then grind it in a traditional stone that was used in the kitchens of yesteryear. Then you will taste that coffee, where we as the tradition dictates, talk and get to know everyone with a good cup of coffee. After the tour is over, the driver will be taking you back to Antigua Guatemala where we previously met. You can also request a traditional lunch with the producer and his family. The experience can last 3-4 hours.
